I just couldn't resist the 0% for 48 months so I put a deposit down on a 2010 Rav4 Sport AWD V6. Hopefully I will still get a Tacoma down the road but it won't be anytime soon. Thanks to everyone here who took the time to answer my noob questions.

You'll be wanting a Tacoma real soon. Rav4 is just soooo small. And you can't haul shit. Plus it's a chick car.

We have a late model RAV4 v6. My only complaint is the ride quality on unimproved roads. Lots of space, fast as heck, great in the snow and we do 30-ish on sustained highway journeys. Last summer best tank was 31mph returning from Tennessee. Good choice  of course if you're not confident with your masculinity, you can lift it and such :D

I had a 2000 Rav4 and it was small but an amazing car. Simple but it rode like a dream and got 22 mpg in town. I had BFG All Terrains and a roof rack. Sold it because I need to tow big boats but they aren't bad. Congrats

Don't worry about all the negative comments you're getting on the choice you made, look on the positive side, maybe by the time you go to buy a Tacoma Toyota will be back to building quality trucks like they did in the past.
