Anyone else bringing 5-9 year old or so kids to Richland Rd? Still holding out to find a babysitter, but odds are long.

 

Have not had a chance to look- when are you going? My 8 Year old has his championship flag football game that day- likely 0900AM or so. Also a moderator coming to pick up the bed tool box, lol.

 

It's the 5/20 run, so this weekend. Our plan is to drive up 5/19, grab a cheap room, and then meet up in the morning at the Lenoir wally world.

So, with that said, opinions on a full OME setup with Dakars?

Specifically, this setup: with 887's/90021's and the new Dakar EL095R "Light" leafs.

 

You're the only other dude I know that has kids around the same age as mine except Adam @ahspurlock . Should get them together one day and let them drive trucks on some easy stuff.

 

Yeah, im contemplating a few things currently. Marie has been incredible. I simply used the wheelers link since it was in my favorites lol.

I don't do much other than going hunting and towing my small bass boat. Would like to go have fun with you guys on some of these trips without making too much of a compromise since the truck is and always will be, a daily.

 

The husband at Headstrong I feel like was steering me toward entry level Icon. Basic to semi-technical off road, good bit off on road.

 

I've heard ICON's customer service is abysmal. So I removed them from contention a while ago.

 

The past year has been crazy busy. Too busy.

I would not know; never had to call them. I do not think @dan0mite has either. @ahspurlock installed mine.

I am sure Fox and King are nice, just never been in them. Remember OME rears are the same length as OEM.

@JimboAnz truck works perfect with his Bilstein set up.

 

I can get some Falken Wildpeak M/T tires and a Bilstein 5100 kit next week. Or... Icon, King, etc, and whatever will take quite a long while to do. Those setups are money. Plan to make some decisions after Richland Rd.

 

I've spoken with ICON customer service when I was looking for longer rear shocks, switching to 700# coils, and when I was waiting on my UCAs...I had no complaints with their service on any of the multiple calls to them. They took the time to speak to me and answer my questions.

You'll always hear about the negative...especially when all the sheep start grabbing pitchforks.

 

I'm sure I would like it too. I just can't afford it.
