It will depend on what I am welding and if I am feeling too lazy to drag my 240 extension cord around the side of the house. If it is something thin I will just plug directly into the 120 outlet in the garage for ease of plug, but my 240 plug is at the breaker panel so I have a 30' extension cord to use.

Gotcha!! I've never used the 110 on my welder in the 2+ years that I've had it. But it's nice to know that if I needed to bring it somewhere where there wasn't 220 that I could!

I wish I had a plug in the garage, but we are still in a rental so I just slapped a plug on the outside of the Panel, once I buy next year, I will have power in my shop  at which point I will probably never use the 120 ever again lol. Unless I am doing something remote with no 240.

I see! Yeah dude it's really nice having 220 in the shop/garage. But it seems you have a pretty easy solution right now.

It helps my day job is as a Project Engineer for a commercial electrical contractor, so I have plenty of free shit to take from work to make me some nifty extension cords.. LOL I have a 100' as well, weighs a hundred pounds or so.

Haha that's awesome. Yeah I have a 100' extension as well. Super heavy!!! My neighbor down the street had a broken floor shifter in his old ford truck, it was in neutral luckily and he rolled it down in front of my house. I had enough extension cord to be able to make it all the way across the street with my welder and weld the shifter back on haha. Nice having that much extension!

I did a little bit on the trailer today

Got the tongue box mounted and the battery hooked up inside of it!

I welded in a support underneath to help support the box and then I welded in 1" angle all around the box and bolted the box to the angle.

I like the rust on the fenders. You should do the whole trailer like that.
