when I bought my 99 taco i was told its not the same as the old one, then i got a 2011 taco and it was talked about the same, QC is slipping , and now its the same old same old, I was told the 1 gen will never get the 300k club and then the 2nd gen will never hoit the 200k mark, Only time will tell, I am willing to bet that in 2030 people are going to be like , Its not built like my 3gen, they dont build them like that anymore.

Any review/ratings organization that would praise a front wheel drive unibody vehicle in a truck segment, but then criticize another vehicle for having "stiff ride" in a truck segment has very little credibility in my mind.

I'm not a Toyota fanboy by any means. There are a few things about this truck that really annoy the fuck out of me. But lets be honest here, Consumer Reports sucks dick if they think the midsize truck market should hold the Ridgeline as the high bar.

I had my 2nd gen for 8 years, and I only changed the oil 7 times.... I had absolutely no problems with that truck. Before that I had a 1991 MR2 that was eventually totaled, but there were no other issues than that. That MR2 is actually still on the road to this day and in someone else's hands. Is this this type of quality from Toyota totally gone?

there are still AE86 corollas with all original parts running up and down the freeways here. It's crazy that things have gotten this far down hill?

Before I got a 3rd gen, I was going to see if I could drop a V8 or V6 in it. It was a MT 2 seater work stripper.

Toyota still maintains the cheesecake was inserted intentionally to somehow assist the rear drum brakes. I call bullshit.

If I could get the cheesecake out, it would still probably be good to eat right? I think that I would be able to forgive Toyota in the event that my rear diff exploded on the freeway if I could enjoy a nice cheesecake while I waited for the tow truck.

If we based it off owner feedback the truck is a POS. Never seen so much criticism of a vehicle as I have here on TW. Of course Toyota enthusiasts have high expectations.

Great point. Really wish there was one of those. I've had two now with absolutely no factory issues. Guy's just pissed he drew the short straw.
