This is honestly the coolest setup I've seen so far! I'm not sure if you mentioned it earlier in the thread, but where did you get the strips from?

The same shit everyone else has.
Thanks. I like over engineered things so it works out really well.

Being able to dim and turn off the lights via remote will be handy when camping.

The strips came from here - http://m.ebay.com/itm/361450942630?_mwBanner=1&ul_ref=http%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F0%2Fe11050.m43.l1123%2F7%3Feuid%3D6eb32a8c34f243bdb21f7783eaf70ecf%26bu%3D43466188152%26loc%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fulk%252Fitm%252F361450942630%26sojTags%3Dbu%3Dbu%26srcrot%3De11050.m43.l1123%26rvr_id%3D0&ul_noapp=true

Be warned, the seller sucks though. The first set I order, the one light was missing the end caps. The second set came with a damaged end cap. The newest replacement showed up yesterday and the light was bent like a banana. It took way more effort than it should to to get 3 good light strips. Sadly, I couldn't find the lights on Amazon or I would have ordered them from there. Still worth the hassle though

Well, had the first rain yesterday since I installed it and sealed the seams. There was heavy rain and it was windy throughout the day. After work I had 2 small drips on the rear top of the passenger side wheel well, but everything above that area seemed dry. :notsure: I'll have to spray it down when I get a chance to see where it's coming from. I suppose it could have came in from under the rail and dripped down the side of the bed to the wheel well.

I live in Hawaii, and I can tell you that having the sides rolled up when hauling dogs is a lifesaver. Haven't really done anything to straps either, and living on the island known as a windsurfing mecca of the world it holds up fine.

When installing the Softopper, did anyone move the pivot pin placement from the factory center hole?

My top fits, but it's tight as heck. I'd rather not overstretch the seams prematurely.

Could it be coming in from the front corners? That's where mine leaks a tiny bit.

Probably where the bed meets the canvas at the very corners. I make sure to fold that corner over the Velcro as much as possible

I don't think so because the back of the wheel well is about at the middle of the bed on the long bed (it would have to go a long way from the front corner to get there). It sat in heavy rain again over the weekend and nothing. Drove in heavy rain and also nothing. Maybe it was a fluke (or the sideways wind), It was only two small drops.

anyone have the hi lift mounted on the bed rails with some sort of bracket that puts it below the softopper framing? I have the relentless fab bed rail mounts and will try this as soon as I get my hi lift next week!

The first one isn't mine, but it looks like the relentless fab bracket.

The second one is mine, it works great with the relentless fab tool holder.

Here's mine. Have had it on all year long for 3+ years on 2 different trucks, and gone through car washes with no problems. Love this thing. IMG_3420.jpg IMG_6104.jpg IMG_8731.jpg IMG_9153.jpg

Ok, so let me say this about Softopper now that I have owned one for a few weeks and have had an opportunity to deal with their customer service.

All I have to say is WOW.

The customer service for Softopper is above and beyond anyone else. I am so excited to have a product from a company that stands behind its workmanship like this.

This is the same praise I hear from others and I will continue the same message.

I had a minor defect in the rear window weld and they stepped up and dealt it a knockout punch. New panel on its way!

    Customer for life.
