So I finally received my truck yesterday. Today I noticed a strange anomaly and I can't figure out a fix.

When I turn the ignition off and get out the cab (along with the keys) the truck's electrical doesn't power down. The engine turns off, however I can't lock the vehicle with the remote or with the keyless door handle sensor. Instead, the information display reads "turn power off" and " key not detected". I try to cycle through the various power modes by hitting the ignition button without pressing he gas pedal but that doesn't work either. This happens with both keys.

After some time passes, the radio turns on. Seems like a sensor is bad?I'm afraid this is going to drain my battery. I'm at a loss for other solutions.

    Any ideas?

Push start or key? If push start...you have your truck in park? Stupid question...but if not in park it won't shut the electrical down.

Try starting the truck. Make sure it's in park then turn it off.

Yes it's push start and keyless entry. Vehicle is in park. I just ran down to the truck and saw the nav screen had turned on, just as before.

Are you sure you put it in park before you turned off the engine? If you have it in anything other than park when you cut off the engine it will drop to ACC mode.

Tried that. No luck. Other thing I noticed is the outside temperature monitor is reporting 31degrees. Which is impossible because I live in socal. It's maybe 65 right now

lol I do it all the time when I'm listening to a podcast or something and don't want to keep my engine running.

Sorry man, other than that I can't think of anything else it could be... which dealership did you get it from?

It happens...don't ask me how I know. :spy:

All doors shut, not ajar? Weird that you can still start it which means you have a signal to your fob.

Dude! Go back to the dealership and make them fix it or give you a new one!

All good. Except for the truck. Had it shipped from out of state, Ohio to be exact. Had 2 miles on the odometer when it arrived.

Sounds like the shift cable isn't adjusted correctly and isn't engaging the "P" sensor fully. Transmission is in park but the ECM thinks it's still in D

Def a dealer issue not something you can fix on your own or should for that matter

Correct. I just drove it around again to make sure it wasn't some random glitch that keeps occurring. Well it's not random and it keeps occurring each time so I'm getting very frustrated. It's a software or electrical issue I'm sure. Should be simple to rectify at a dealership but it's a hassle and not expected with a brand new vehicle.

Should be a honeymoon phase right now. Not this. :annoyed:

Try pushing on the gear shift forward while in P, don't put a lot of pressure just to see if you are able to engage it fully and see if you can turn it off

Do a quick video on the sequence from starting the truck to shutting it off and locking. Probably would help us better ascertain the problem. Guessing it has to do with Park.

Seems like it. Yet the informational display shows P for park and the P is illuminated on the shifter indicating it's in Park. Strange
