I have a 2016 TRD Off Road and I have had no issues with this truck. It is really just crazy that Toyota has come so far in their reliability. I think this truck is really a stellar mark on the manufacturer's reputation. I'd like to discuss what people here think are the reasons for this step forward in quality and reliability? We see it everywhere on the reviews and user feedback here on the forums so we know there are amazing things happening and it is not a figment of our imaginations.

I think you are going to get mixed reviews on this. I haven't had issues but there are plenty of people who have so you may get a lot of people who disagree.

@Z50king, I don't care how many people think their new truck is awesome or that people who have their motor gag going down the road are overreacting. New Toyotas will never have the reliability, or pure will to live, as that '88 Hilux.

I like that people are posting links to the thread you are obviously parodying as evidence that you're wrong.

The question and possible answers are leading to your desired goal of the sample based on your bias. This is common sample bias. You aren't including anyone in your poll who have had so many problems with the truck.

Had a jeep many years ago that left me stranded because of a defective recalled fuel sender unit. Also the differential fluid was leaking out of the axle seal. Wasn't a snowflake and constant whiner like many in here, got it fixed, put on 300k to be one of the best vehicles owned. Taco will be the same.
BTW jeeps built today are not like years ago.

I have had my OR 4X4 11 months, 9000 miles and zero problems. I drive around town and 12 miles to work on hilly roads and average 20.5 mpg. Pretty happy with mine.
