Pelfreybuilt Hidden Winch Mount

I did a search and found just a very few posts about this one. If you have this hidden winch mount, would you please share what winch you are using, and where or how you set up the controls. I've heard under the hood is easiest, and I saw one post where the guy made a place in the bumper to plug in the controller.

I'm sold on the design... Just want to make sure I'd be happy with the controller aspect.

Also any comments on how yours has performed or issues you had with installation are welcome too.

Well you are likely to get better information in a thread specifically about the product you are asking in a forum specific to the vendor instead of in the 3rd gen forum. And it also has the added benefit of collecting any information generated in one tidy location for those that come behind you and search.

 

I am also wondering if the winch (likely it depends on the winch) would interfere with one of the CaliRaised bumper lights. In the picture on the website I can see "daylight" through where the light would fit, although I dont think there is actually a winch mounted so its hard to say.
