Nice thing about the third gens is I think your stock projector is legit and I wouldn't change it. I only changed mine out because my aftermarket ones had terrible projectors in them. I would think if you threw in HIDs in yours now, you would have good light output as it is.

 

Let me know man, once you get used to the oven trick...that's really it! Sounds like a cool color man.

 

I have the OPT7 LEDs and they work pretty well. I'm not really a fan of HIDs because I've had so many fail on me.... and so far, LEDs have never let me down.... unless you can recommend a good HID kit that can stand massive amounts of malll crawling.

my end goal would be do do
RGBW demon eyes
RGBW halo
and black the headlight out
and MAYBE (budget allowing) put some Rigid spot Duallys in for high beams

 

I have had similar experiences with HID kits...the retrofit source has excellent stuff and are always competitive in pricing. Have you heard of morimoto? Their kits are completely modular in the parts so if a bulb or ballast fails, you just order a new one and swap out. I got these in mine and love them.

He got stage II

 

I went with Stage II at 5500K temp, gunmetal housings with black accents, light smoke side reflectors, and the color changing rear halos.

 

Sounds intense man, should be sick when it gets done.

I would consider it, but I already got me some retros.
