Good morning everyone. Hitting up Firestone to get tires for the wheels Rebecca helped me get. Taking a half day from work, so running there around lunch time to get it all done. Also went with their lifetime alignment. Figured I'd be worth it since now I have two set of rims and tires, for when I do the swap in the winter. As of right now, didn't go with anything too aggressive as far as the look. I don't go off road or anything like that, so went with something they recommended based on me wanting a smoother ride. Forgot what the tire is called though... but thinking of asking them to let me see one wheel with the tire mounted on it, before doing the rest, to make sure I like the look before having all done and mounted.

Ive been looking at the Firestone Destination A/T for a while now. On the more budget friendly side of the lineups and still has a pretty decent tread pattern with great reviews.

 

For the life of me I can't remember if that's what they were. Guess I should have written it all down. DOH.

I'll check those out and ask about them when I get there.

 

I haven't seen that movie in probably 10 years, lol.

 

These Michelin AT2's are a bargain at any price. Never had such a good performing tire last so long. I think I have 65k on them and I will not need to replace them before the winter so I'll probably get 85k out of them. Awesome tires.

 

i got that for my truck, i think i've had it aligned 4 times since. it's great

 

Noice!! Figured it wouldn't be a bad idea. I was sold when he said that the alignment would be for either my winter or summer wheels, and when he said that typically they would recommend getting your alignment done/checked twice a year anyway.

 

Damn, that's like an alignment every 1,000 miles...

Firestone refused to sell me a lifetime alignment for my FJ...

Then they did an alignment, was way out of spec and handled like trash, and they got grease all over my steering wheel and shifter.

 

RUH ROH. Did they tell you why they wouldn't sell it to you??!!

 

Because it wasn't factory suspension....
