Yeah the race was good. I was disappointed that the bad weather hit right as the top 25 pro men's. It was for sure a rowdy AF.

Hey everyone so me and my lady are finally getting into the bike riding and wanted to know if anyone is using any bed rail mounts for their bikes...also would like some recommendations on a couple of good bikes for beginner to use on trails. We live in the city and rarely go outside the city limits to really explore so we are limited to the bike/walking trails for now. Your help would be greatly appreciated!!

Actually trying to plan a trip to Whistler and CGP this August. We were thinking of hitting up the shore for a day or two as well. I'll definitely be in touch if we make it up there.

Got a random question, anyone have a pelfreybilt rear bumper with the hidden hitch? I am looking to see if my Yakima tray bike rack would fit in the hitch opening? I would assume yes, but just curious if anyone has one with their bike rack?

I do, but don't have that rack. I'm being given a tray rack soon though, and can let you know.

Have you seen this mount? Sturdy? Can't find one local. Looks nice, but would like to see one before dropping +$500.

***You can find them for a little over $400, but not in stock till June.

Finally get to add something to this thread with my 2-week old truck... using 1Up rack and this is bike one of four. One thing I was worried about is when the 1up is folded up against the bumper, it blocks the license plate. I've heard stories about people getting pulled over for a blocked license plate, anybody have that happen to them?

I've been pulled over twice for speeding with my rack folded up like that, and instead of the speeding ticket they gave me a ticket for the rack blocking the plate. Otherwise, I have not been pulled over for the rack blocking the plate.

Also, 1Up sells a plate relocation mount for the racks.

Sounds like you got the lesser of two evils. I got pulled once for speeding in an unmarked area that I wasn't familiar with. The cop noted that I had a bike rack covering my plate, but just stated that for future reference as he could tell I wasn't from the area and had no clue about the speed trap.

Being lazy, I'm trying to avoid having to swap the plate back and forth when I have a bike on it or when the rack is off the truck. unless there's some kind of quick connect license plate attachments I don't know exist?

My fiance' has the RockyMounts Split Rail and it has been awesome. If that is any indicator of quality, I think the RockyMounts swingout will be a great buy.

I have a SplitRail too and it's amazing. I saw the swingout at Sea Otter and it was super sturdy and had no wobble. Quite a feat for a swing out bike rack.

I just ordered a front bed rail and mounts off of Amazon for our bikes. I will put pictures up in the next couple of days once I have them installed.
