 It really came out to be an awesome setup. Paired with the cradles it doesn't limit the trucks abilities either. It seems like a thing a lot of people overlook thinking it's only for towing or hauling. @Chux setup is probably just as heavy if not heavier than what most people haul. Another plus is they are 150% adjustable to whatever the load or conditions call for unlike leaf springs which sag under load if too weak and create harsh rides unloaded if too strong.

I can fully adjust the air bags individually from the bed of my truck with my own compressor. So basically most of my gear lives on the truck and I'll have the bags set at a certain psi for that. At anytime, let's say a trail get rocky I can let out some air to soften the bags and ride quality.. or I can take my empty trailer to pick up a heavy load and add more air to counter the trailer weight, get home and unload bring the psi back down. It's fully adjustable for whatever application I need.

Some minor modification is needed with aftermarket springs but other than that is a super easy install

So did you loose your bump stops or are the bags now bump stops? Where did you get the bags and cradles?

Naut sure why everyone makes a big deal about blocking the back windows. I must be living in the dark after all the years of driving a dump truck.

I love the little details like the lugs holding on the treds. The swiss army knife beach buggy.

Haha! The only place I can actually see is out the middle rear window... not saying its bad I just think it would be funny. I hate ricer cars but the ones with the windshield covered in stickers and a GIANT one diagonal across the windshield that says I CAN'T SEE SHIT makes me LOL

might I ask why you did the plasti dipon the back window? Keeping people from looking in?

Not making a big deal just thought itd be funny. But my one buddy was busting my balls because technically in NJ its illegal to have windshield stickers and I said I was gonna get one of those

Yerp removed super bumps and ubolt flip plate, and installed TC U bolt relo plates, new U bolts, most of the ride-rite kit, and the cradles. Steve welded extension plates to the kit because of the thickness of my dakars with AAL. There's a thread that shows the bags being used in different configurations but with U bolt this set up was one I liked the most. Check it all out here https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...rite-lift-thread.279865/page-12#post-11917486

Bump stops are deleted. The air bags are not bump stops, they keep constant contact until flexed/drooped.

I'll get a pic up next week of the mod.. :spy:

Wouldn't they technically act as bumps though? Bumps are there to keep you from bottoming out your shock and/or keeping your leaves from going neg. If you eliminated the bumps, don't the bags (or the air in the bags) now do this as well as weight support?

Yea they may have bump stop tendencies but I don't consider them a bump stops. Bump stops one and only job is as you explained, while the vehicle weight is spread out over the leaf pack. The air bags first job with constant contact is to support weight and help with sag from added weight. Then at the same time because of the location over the axle, they can protect the shock at their extremes and help the leafs out from going negative. But that if you wanna get all technical and I'm no scientist so "bump stops" are deleted :p
