All jokes aside, would anyone know where or how I can find the top strut mounts for the secondary struts. I read on another forum thread that they might be the same as used in the Volkswagen Rabbits...lol, really any help is very much appreciated! Also read something about the secondary struts are possibly Gabriel struts. I'm thinking that the only true way to make this right is going to sas it, but until then the only real issue is that the secondary strut mount bushings are trashed. Until I have the cash to sas it, I won't be doing any wheeling, just want to replace those top strut mounts for now. Otherwise it drives nice and straight, and actually not as stiff as you would think. Thanks guys!

I've rocked out a tall Trailmaster lift before. Even better, with a 3" body lift on top of it. Wheeled the living shit out of it.

yeah bro you scored i paid way over double for mine and it has a 6inch lift but its a legit fabtech spindle lift idk how legit but its not a problem and i trust it enough to go out and wheel it,

now your truck, i know ive found struts for your truck with that trailmaster lift before while i was trying to find shocks for my truck,

for 2000$ i think you should try to put 1000$ into it and if you take it back to stock or a 3inch lift (just a shock lift) then i think you could sell your truck for a easy 4-5000$ and would never worrie about anything under the truck EVER again ......... unless your like me and beat the living hell out of everything you own

I'd have to agree with the SAC

as boogered up as the hack job of a lift is under there now, OP would be doing good to source an axle and just cut out all the IFS

Going to just replace the top mounts for the secondary struts, and then just drive it until I have all the parts, cash, and time to sas it.

So the UCA is now stationary and the knuckle moves with respect to it via a shock absorber?

I paid what the new motor cost the previous owner, so I feel like I got a decent deal. Runs and drives great, it loves to cruise down the freeway at 70mph nice and straight, and it wants to go faster. But that's why I want to replace those worn out strut mounts, so I can drive it on the freeway without worrying about those mounts. But, yes, sas is in the future for this Tacoma. Thanks

Post a 'wanted' post for stock take offs from someone going long travel or solid axle.
Upper & lower arms, tie rods, shocks, brake lines, rear leafs and shankles ect... I would of gladly sold mine as kit for cheap if someone wanted it all on one shot.
You might luck out and find that stuff from a fab shop. I know in out here almost every off road fab shop has crates full of stock take offs that end up getting scrapped out.
    Worth a shot.

I have a thread from last year about this lift on my Yota.
Started a link about modding that stupid McPhearson strut.
Think you can put my name in search bar to view thread.
