What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Had a photoshoot while out and about yesterday




Also threw a P0031 and P2238, time for a new A/F sensor......yay

 

Intended to put on my Trasheroo to adjust straps and get it to hang nicely. Ended up trimming plastic parts and bedlinered things in the process.
Also these arrived...

 

Sweet! I just installed one of the LROR Bars as well this week

 

They seem pretty damn sturdy, what did you do to get the packing oil off for paint. I was planning to hit it with brake clean

 

Do that then wipe it down with basically alcohol. Use a nice rag that won't leave fibers

 

See I was wondering about that, I used to use 91% alcohol but a lot of paints say not to use alcohol and use mineral spirits or equivalent instead. Figured it messed with curing times or something.

 

Mineral spirits is what I guess I use. Haha same shit almost

 

I used acetone to prep my sliders and bumper, but honestly as long as it doesn't leave a residue you're okay

But they will arrive already put together and got a free ARB compressor too!

 

Love the smell of fresh bumper. That ARB sticker is coming off though.

Something like that. Looks like it took a bit of an impact on the part that wraps around and made it buckle right there.

 

Oh, if the whole wing is tweaked onwards you may want to see about just getting another, be hard to pull the whole thing out.

 

Nice! If your front diff was anything like mine, it will be a pain in the dick to take out.

 

It's not too hard, I have had it out before

 

We needed to take off both mounts, add tube, and lift the tranny a smidge to get mine out. Luckily it went back in much easier somehow.

 

There is a steep learning curve with the front diff. The first time it took me over an hour, the second time 30 minutes, and the third time about 30 seconds. Don't ask why it took three tries to get the right gears
