Exactly what I was thinking. Even if a miracle came my way and I fixed the holes and got the thing mounted perfectly, the brackets themselves push the rubber seal around the door out no matter what you do and that allows sound (maybe even water) into the cabin. Already started the return process with CRLED, think I'm going to go with some ditch lights and a smaller bar behind the grille and be done with it. I'm a lighting-whore, can't help it!

Good to see you can handle the fuckery on here. If you really want a roof mounted light bar, get a good roof rack (frontrunner, Baja, Gobi, etc) and mount it to that. It'll look way cleaner. IMO anyway.

I'll hit up the site....I may just stick it near the passenger Jesus bar to remind myself not to take matters into my own hands.

    1. Lose no more sleep over this. It is a "first world problem." Be happy you are in a position to have it.

    2. Take it to a body shop for repair. It isn't going to take a lot of paint. They are going to blend it then re-paint the entire roof with clear. Maybe $700 or so????

    3. Forget about it. I have had home-projects cost me far more than $700 to fix.

    4. Write it off as just paying an extra $700 for your truck and forget about it.

You're damn right. I love the way the prinsu rack looks and they come with option with a pre-cutout for a light bar. The only thing I don't like is that you have to remove the roof rubber trim to have it on, which looks ridiculous/ghetto... Is there a way to have the prinsu with the roof trim still in place?

The roof trim stays in place, you only cut a few 1" holes in the rubber to allow for the racks feet.

Yeah, prinsu is a good one too. And if he is a light whore as he claims, then he can proceed to put more lights pointing in every direction!

Call me ridiculous, but I think it would be useful to have small pods on a roof rack in all 4 directions... sooner or later it'll come in handy. Gobi racks are nice but I can't justify spending that much money on a piece of metal to throw my shit on...

especially if you don't know how to drill worth a fuck.

I drilled my holes for the rivets for my hood struts no problem.

I'm thinking OP is not a tradesman or all that handy, and can't drill worth a fuck.

I won't put a LED bar on my roof unless its on a roof rack.
Needs to be behind the roof line of the windshield or you get a terrible glare off the hood.

Seriously these lightbars just seem stupid to me.
Just get a decent set of spots and you're fine. No need for a 50"+ light bar unless you just want to look like a bro
