Peel the factory bulb seal back and apply some double sided foam tape, then reapply the factory bulb seal. It takes time and some patience but it works.

A little early in the year to be studding your tires, isn't it? I guess you can't beat free, even if it is out of season

Rock on. There is an alternative to the Fumoto that was posted in this thread a while back that looks interesting. If I decide to ditch the oil plug, I'll give it a try.

There was a really good thread on that issue. The OP went all out on trying to fix it and added weather strips on a few places. If I can dig up the thread i'll link it. If you haven't already found it

I had the noise too and brought it to the dealer complaining about it and told them that everyone one the forum was complaining about the same thing. The head Tech said he had just received a new replacement seal for this. My truck is a 2015 and still under warranty so they replaced it for free. It's worked great so far. No noise for months, but last week I was driving in a wind storm and it slightly sounded off only once (passenger door and my wife didn't even hear it). Hopefully its not an expensive piece for anyone out of warranty.

I could be proactive and search, but where did order from? I need to start getting things ready for my next oil change. I went synthetic at 26k and I figured I would change oil around 33k since it was the first full synthetic change.

even with full synthetic I'm doing every 5k. I did 6k on the first one and the oil coming out was pretty dirty. To be fair though, I've never done an oil analysis or anything. Even with synthetic I guess I don't like pushing it.

my GTO manual says every 3 or 5 (can't remember now) with synthetic oil too. I have done it every 3k on that car for years and it's never let me down. *knocks on wood*

I haven't changed the oil in any of my Toyotas in 7 years. The light goes off and I call the dealer. They only charge me like $12 more than what the materials cost and they get rid of the oil. It's also logged into the computer that it's been done so with 190,000 miles on my Scion Toyota paid to rebuild the bottom end of the engine. Besides I'm nasty dirty all week

Went to Home depot over a year ago to fix my wind noise. It was unbearable on windy days. People would seriously not ride in my truck. I've driven it at highway speeds in 40 mph winds out here in the desert for over a year now and haven't heard a thing. So simple to do
