When was the last time you went to South Dallas? There are actually some nice areas, just like there are shitty areas with trailer parks in Mckinney.

I think some people have had good luck with the stoptech BBK's. There was group buy on them a bit ago but last I checked they were still on sale here: http://sosperformance.com/t/tacoma-2005-2015

Holy shit. Not looking to drop $2k on brakes, just wondering about OEM vs something else, not a full conversion this time.

Making progress on the wiring, debating if I want to invest in rock lights, invest the time to run wiring for rock lights later, or wire for anything else while I'm pulling wire through the firewall. Decided to order disconnects for the accessory end of the wiring harness. Lost one end of the molex connector I bought for the switch end... it's "somewhere" ... had it Monday... now no where to be found.

Debating tires again. Somehow the ST Maxx has made it to the top of my list... not sure how that happened, but it's not due to the sensible part of my brain.

I have thought about rock lights... I think they look sweet and all that jazz... but I don't know if they are very practical for the truck... If I had a buggy then hell yea... just have not had a use for them yet I guess.

Yeah, I was filling my cart with switches and it was the only other thing I thought I might add in the foreseeable future. Decided against ditch lights as I've already got 2 pairs of aux lights up in the grill.

Hell, I still have a switch for my rear lights that right now may never get installed honestly... rocks lights are cool and they have a use, I just have not had a use for them out of all the times I have gone wheeling.

Good to know that I am not missing anything then...

Ah I gotcha, in that case I've had good luck with the powerstop kit from Amazon, comes with drilled/slotted rotors and better pads. Not sure how big a difference it makes but it seems to work just as well as OEM and is a lot cheaper. The EBC green stuff pads are popular too.

Yeah they are pricey thats for sure, apparently it helps a lot though with full armor and bigger tires.

Alright DFW people.... who is down to come with me to Tennessee to an amazing offroad park, a great Toyota event, and a great time overall?

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...k-oliver-springs-tn-labor-day-weekend.478138/

I did the drive last year and it was 100% worth it and will do it again this year. All 12 hours of it... is like the same time from DFW to Big Bend... but you actually leave Texas....

Windrock is a damn good park, lots of trails for all levels, even have a mountain bike course which I plan on hitting up... and the people at the event are just good people... pretty much Jambo but with a Tennessee twist.

BTW... TacomaWorld is leading the club registration right now... lets seal that award down!

Plus it is always better to make that drive with other people that you know!

EDIT: IF people caravan with me... just know that a hotel room in Memphis will be cheap as hell for you.... I mean like $20 or so... I have connections... oh, and there is a Hooters across the road from the Hotel...

They are some good ones at Hooters.

Honestly, at Windrock, sliders are not a requirement. One trail... yes... without a doubt yes. But they are really good a trail leading and separate people up on what you are willing to do or not do.

I'd be down pending rebuild, I've heard good things about Windrock and I could get my parents to join me.
