8th Annual South Padre Island Tacoma World Meet 05-27-2017

Hahaha yes I spent a whole hour including paint. I ended up wedging a pvc pipe across the bottom from and to end. It kept moving in and out from the wind so that fixed that. I got up to 50 on a windy day so it is beach safe for sure. Thanks for the input! We are going to have some good pics. Cant wait!

I'll have a privacy port a potty type pop up with a camping toilet for my lady availiable.

Wow, a beached boat huh?

It's been a few years since I've actually been all the way out to the East Cut, I used to go all the time with my brother-in-law and a few buddies but not since I've moved away.
One of the last times we were out there we came across a small suv that was a wee bit stuck in the sand...

just a wee bit...

 

My GF and I are definitely going to join in on the fun so you can move me to the definitely going list. We will leave Austin on Friday around 4pm and be on SPI Friday night to Sunday. We will meet yall at the Bass Pro on Saturday morning or the Walmart depending on when we get up It will be awesome to see some of you again and meet many of you for the first time! Its our first trip to SPI as well

 

Wait, it just occurred to me, if that small boat is stranded, would anybody be able to go out there with a trailer and claim it? How does that sort of thing work out??? I wouldn't do it but the question just came to me.

Yeah, decades living in texas and never made it down that far. My GF is most excited because i got us a hotel and she wont have to camp lol.

At least you'll be having your girl with you.
My girl won't be able to come since they won't give her the whole week. So I'll be driving solo from California.

I'm also stopping overnight on the 25th in San Antonio to take care of something else. Which is awesome for me because I get to take care of two things in one trip.
I'll be driving down to Harlingen either that Thursday night or early Friday morning. I'm not too sure yet.

I shall do my best to be safe! After all, I do have a fiancée and we have a baby due in late July. I already can't wait to get back to see my girl after this trip.
