I almost pulled the trigger on the Toyos, but in the end I decided to go with the KO2 34/10.5's. So I guess I'm joining the bro club. :anonymous:

How do you have no rubbing.......Impossible...... I'm running OME 888's and rear dakar leafs and still can't clear a 255 85 16........ Absolutely no way you are not rubbing on stock suspension! @fatfurious2

Hope you plan on driving straight all the time and not going any turns or flexing the suspension at all. Cause I test fitting @fatfurious2 255 85 16's on his truck on mine with a lift and In order to fit them properly you need a cab mount chop and lots of plastic trimming!

Yea I agree with @moe2o4. Unless you never go off road/flex.

The biggest difference between @fatfurious2 and mine that I see at a glance is that the 3rd gen sits an inch higher from the factory and he has 16x8 wheels with a zero offset so it pushes his tire out farther causing it to rub when turning. But I do agree that it will probably rub with any large amount of flexing but I also don't plan on doing any serious off-roading. My goal for the truck is camping and hunting so I like the extra ground clearance.

I had @fatfurious2 wheels and tires on my truck with my lift and they still didn't clear at least not enough for daily driving......

What wheels? Maybe your wheel offset is what's causing it. I've seen too many posts saying that they clear 255/85/16 with no rubbing. Everyone I've seen clear this tire uses 3rd gen TRD-OR wheels

You're going to rub. Also my friend is selling a set of these (6k miles) with Level8 MK6 17x8 0 offset, for $1100.

Only reason I got them was because Falken just bought my set of AT3Ws back so I paid like $290 for the 4. The front I'm sitting at 2.5 inches of lift and rear is just around 3 inches. My only guess is I'll rub on some plastic, but I'll play with the wheel spacers to see which offset is best

Also, you dont have a turd gen, so I think you will be ok. Like you said, slight trimming.

I used to have Maxxis Bighorn MT in 255/85/16 and i needed to trim my flares a bit. But then i was good. The ST Maxx i have not needed to trim. I havent done my CMC either.

haha yeah no turd gen. I think the Coopers are slightly undersize which is probably why you didnt have to trim. I know the Toyos MT are slightly over size. Little plastic trimming is ok for me
