If that is true, OEM FIPG on my trans pan lasted 209,xxx before it failed. Not bad, not bad at all.

You still had to take off all the shit I needed to right? Like we weren't doing anything wrong? Everything we read was like remove the mounting bolts and poof the diff should be out.

I think the first time we took off the frame mount brackets, never had to do the add tube or mess with the tranny though. It should come off with everything attached.
It's like doing the headers, there's only one way to do it and you have to do it exactly right.

It all comes out together, just pull the skid plates, CVs, drive shaft, mounting bolts and drop it down. I didn't remove the mounting brackets, trans or tube.

I know lol. Its just a baby. But I bought it in December 2015 with 101k and now 1 year and 5 months ive put on 29k. Just put new LBJ on it today but messed up the OTRE bolt so now I have to wait for those to come in... :anonymous:

Just curious, how many miles did you '04 have on it?

New LBJs is a good feeling. I recently did all 4 of my BJs and it's definitely a weight off my shoulders, since the uppers were stock and the lowers were from the recall, which is hardly newer than the truck itself.
Both of my OTREs need to be replaced as well as at least one of my ITRE. I will be doing all 4 before tooo long. As well as my rack bushings. Those are pretty shot.
    ...
I wish my truck had your mileage haha

My 04 had 124k when I wrecked it. Super young. I still hate myself for being so dumb. As soon as I got my, well both my tacomas, I did energy poly steering rack bushings and they tightened the steering pretty good. Still felt a little loose with 285's but that was to be expected.

Damn, both of your Tacos have been young. There are guys on here with 1 truck with twice what you've had on 2 lol
Yeah, I plan on going ES for the bushings. Did ES for the sway bar bushings (and new, greaseable brackets) and I like the quality a lot. I am sure there will be an even bigger noticeable difference with the rack. My current bushings are allowing the rack to move front to back a bit. So going from that to new poly bushings should feel tighter for sure. Especially since I am still on stock size tires.

I made an appointment to get a new windshield tomorrow.

No more constant whistle of air coming through the old molding.

    Aughta be nice.

Replaced stock radio with a Pioneer AVH series head unit. Focal component system w/a 10" sub powered by 2 Alpine amps. Weathertech floor mats. Line-X'd the bed. SCS Ray 10’s, Installed an A.R.E. I got quoted around $300. Haven't done it yet. I was detailing the car and started claying the windshield (apparently it's a thing) and noticed hundreds of little bubbles. It's 14 years old, it's time to go soon!
