Not commuting, but in a business capacity that would be impractical without a truck IE moving, towing, mobile work space, pool guy.

If so, what do you do?

I do high end audio video. Bed is always filled with two ladders, couple of tool boxes, and a couple of boxes of wire. I could work out of a car if I had to, but the truck is definitely nice when hauling around equipment racks and TVs. And it's still my personal truck as well so on the weekends the bed gets empty of tools and filled with camping gear.

I teach wilderness rescue classes. At least a couple days a week, the bed/shell is full of rescue gear to haul to a training site.

I never thought the Tacoma would make a good work truck unless you're an Orkin man or a pool guy. I'm gonna learn how uber works because it sounds like you just drive people around and they give you money.

I drive my SR for business 100% of the time. I install DirecTV dish Network and Hughes internet. The truck was a year old in April and have 65,000 on it. Haul about 800 lbs of equipment every day.

Not me, but I see them more and more in my commute. Usually pool guys and exterminators with fleets. The exterminator make me sad because they have the unpainted front bumpers which cheapens the look of fine truck.

Similar to me, mostly commercial hotel cable installations. Nearly all my gear and tools I ever carry fits in a Weather Guard drawer toolbox. When carrying the equipment racks and boxes for a full install we use a larger Econoline van.

Drawer fits nice with a little bit of space on sides and near tailgate and is hidden away by tonneau cover.

I use my truck for work in a light capacity. I'm a field supervisor in commercial construction that often self-performs work. My truck is used primarily for personal tools but will occasionally have some material or company equipment along for the ride.
