I imagine you tried calling them about the fitment right? I would of been really bummed out to not have those would of been the reason why I went with them likely although if they don't fit then they don't fit.

Haven't contacted them yet. Not sure there's anything that can be done about it. I'll look into shooting them a message after work.

I would think there would be some sort of explanation or else damn that is a real shame.

The thing is around here with pc is all the salt they put down in winter. If you get a nick in the pc the salt will find its way in and rust out thesliders beneath the pc plus touching up the bedliner is easy and hard to do with pc.

That stink they were that much of a pain to install. So the Pro Bedliner is not the way to go I take it. I was planning to use that on my fill plates and regular Satin Rustoleum RED on the rest of my sliders. I ordered Pelfreybilt sliders which are not as beefy as Mobtowns but I didn't like their fill plates.

I should be getting them Wednesday. Any pointers on prep work to paint them?

@jschona1, may want to be aware of the install.

Myself and a couple others haven't had any issue with the bedliner and I did mine when it was cold it still hardened even the thick roll on shit I used on the sliders

At least in the spray can, it may not be the best option. The brush/roll on pro liner is a 2 part epoxy, so it may setup harder. There's also non-pro versions in both spray and brush/roll on. It sounds like @Casper66 used the non-pro brush on, and it seems to set up hard.

As for paint prep, I just sprayed everything with brake cleaner and then wiped it down a couple of times with xylol. I primed with rustoleum self etching primer and then painted.

That should have done the trick. I used the aerosol on my skids and it hardened fine. Who knows really sometimes you get a bad cam or 2 just a shame you had to go through all that. If I'd waited I'd have used the hippoliner we spray at work

A bad can or two I could see (slim but possible). However, between the bed stiffeners and sliders, I went through 7 cans bought from 3 different AutoZone. I think it's just how the pro spray liner is.

I just messeged Mobtown and early 2nd gen Prerunners don't have the frame turn up that the beam clamps lock onto. He said not having them shouldn't affect the strength of the sliders. If I'm feeling adventurous one weekend, I might drill a couple holes through the sliders/frame where the clamps go.

    Also.... :worthless:

Ah thanks for clearing that up, would be cool to see the remedy you come up with. Man I totally forgot that you got those sick TRD wheels! Everytime I see a pic, another upgrade!

    Thanks.

I've got some vague ideas besides drilling the frame/sliders, but not the brain power to describe them right now. Anything done to fix it will be a PITA on the driver side because of the gas tank, brake/fuel lines, and wire harness. Would definitely want/need to drop the gas tank. Maybe take off the bed entirely to make life easier.

I like to think of myself as a wordsmith....20 years working for the government has allowed me to fine-tune the skill of crafting words that don't actually say anything, nor accept blame, while deflecting any retaliation....all while building a cohesive team operating environment.

Or, thank you....if you prefer.
