It wasn't difficult. Its held in by a bunch of plastic tabs. Basically, just start pulling it off at the edges and then rip it off the rest of the way.
The whole process of removing the headrests from start to finish took maybe 15 minutes. Probably less

 

Yeah, just pull hard and it pops off. The whole process only took like 10-15 minutes start to finish.

This is how I did mine because I wanted to retain that last hangar

I dont like stuff rattling around under there

 

Soon I might join the bandwagon. I'm tired of the dual chrome tips that came on it from the dealer

 

I like the dual tip look!

 

Oh yeah, I couldnt stand my lil dorky SR5 exhaust coming out from behind there

Said nope to that about 2 months after I got the truck

 

I don't think I have seen a double tip. It looks pretty good. I just have the "oval"

 

Yes you do. Took about 3 minutes with fresh hacksaw blade.

 

I'd take that TRD tip over the dual any day haha
