Try giving it some gas to see if the surge goes away.

Might be slack in the drivetrain.

Crawl control makes some awful noises . If I were to try to make a sound effect for a car breaking down for a sitcom , I would record my crawl control lol .

Ascending loose rocky trails mine works great. Descending the same line, the noises are the ABS sensors controlling each of the wheel speeds, not a nice noise.

Well, I guess I'm glad my truck is acting "normal". Just took it up to test out the crawl control for the first time and was almost chucked out of my seat after engaging the CC on the lowest setting. It definitely smoothed out on the upper settings but the lower three were like corralling a bucking bronco. And the sounds it was making reminded me of a chipmunk having a seizure. I guess those lower settings are strictly for getting unstuck from axle-deep sand and selling trucks to people who never go off-road. Not sure whether to say something to the techs on our 5,000 mile service or chalk it up to the fact that I'll probably never use this feature and just shut up.

Hahaha. Seriously, if they'd just offer the truck in manual transmission and long bed my problems would be solved! o_O

Just a thought, I have Limited. Really don't think CC helps. But, I don't know. CC on lowest setting would probably not jerk around as much if you were in a situation where your tires had little or no traction an it was searching for a good place to grab traction. Once again I never used CC so for someone that has, does what I say make any sense?
