What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

@ChadsPride @PintSize ok guys y'all talked me into it. Swung around the corner from work to the muffler shop real quick and got it knocked out

 

Installation wasn't terrible. Just make sure you have external snap ring pliers than can open pretty wide but aren't very thick. And you need something to grasp the center hub to be able to get the center bolt loose. Use some penetrating oil a few days before, too.

 

They did good man!!! Really cleans up the passengers side profile too!!!

 

Thank you, it was free too. We do a lot of business with them for our customers, so for our personal vehicles they don't charge most of the time

Hacksawing my muffler counts as a mod? Why haven't I done that yet?

 

Hacksawing your fenders does so I'm cool with it.

 

Good luck with that. I trimmed the tailpipe, NOT the muffler.

I think if a hacksaw, sawzall, or angle grinder is involved you're definitely modifying something... thus, it's a mod for sure.

 

Anything that alters the way it was off showroom floor is a mod!

I heard that mufflers aren't needed and I'm good if I just cut the entire thing off right at the manifold...

 

I heard you don't even need the manifold.

 

Just a sheet metal fire diverter.

 

I've done that before on my first truck. Was in a spot where I bottomed out, put it in reverse and bent the tail pipe, drove forward and the whole exhaust system broke off.

It was rusting off anyway.
