Now thats a cub scout pack I could hang with. If my son's boy scout troop allowed that, I would be way more involved.

Considered eating Medical Marijuana? might prolong things?

I'm so glad I cut down every tree on my property two years ago. Life has been so much easier. Now to figure out how to pave the rest of the property. I hate nature.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I was going to say the same thing!

Then again he spends a boat load of $$$ on the suspension of his truck to going 4wheeling outside. Kinda ironic!

There was an Asian family in my parents neighborhood that made their entire front yard, bricks, a wall, a gate, and had two circular raised areas......that had grass surrounded by brick lol

Actually, sort of makes sense. He hates all of the natural undulations of the earth so he put in a kick ass suspension system so even rough, natural terrain would feel like smooth pavement.

He should just buy a Tundra. They flatten the bumps so that you don't notice them.

    I can't relate either.

Any time I've been in a larger city, I think it's the most terrible place in the entire world.

Crazier thing is my total mortgage, taxes, and insurance on my private 1500 sq ft house and garage are probably less than half the monthly cost of a horrible hole in the wall apartment in NYC. So, I pay less for a better quality of life and I honestly don't think that's subjective at all.

Not sure they do charters up there, they probably do but I don't know for sure. And marks car show is a blast! I'll be up at Champlain pike fishing in two weeks!

I grew up in cow country and think the same way about 'city living'. I left cow country and moved to Richmond, VA, it was a huge city compared to how I grew up but manageable. Then, I moved to Boston... Now, I sometimes wonder where I went wrong in my life, especially when I visit home and it's quiet and not nearly the rat race that we have here. Don't get me wrong, I've had some great experiences in the city, but I'd rather live in the sticks. Only reason I'm still here is my job, gotta stay where the work is.

Agreed 100%. I've got 2200-ish square feet plus 900 square feet of garage space, 3 acres, privacy, etc. I pay just over $700 a month for my mortgage and taxes. In NYC I'd have to double that just to even start looking at efficiency or studio apartments.

You probably think I'm crazy. I work in Littleton, MA out on the 495 belt, but I like in Somerville. I've got an hour long reverse commute to work. I could save money and time by living out by the office, but I want to be in the city. :notsure:

Currently paying just over $2000 for a 1 bed apartment. In a few months I'll be paying $1400 for a two bed though. But it's still more than my parent's mortgage payment...

    Yeah, you're nuts.

I can understand why some people like the city. But I'd never, ever want to live in one. Right now I can't wait to move someplace even more rural, lol. I can see my neighbors from my front yard, and I don't like that.

Go to the right part of NYC or even Boston and you could be easily paying 4x that in rent for a studio and that is no exaggeration.
Yep, craziness. I have an hour commute because I keep trying to move further from the city.

I never lived in the city and don't plan to. Need my quiet space.

And yes @capetaco12 and @DoubleRGirl that's the damn caterpillars. I'd guess just take an antihistamine for the itch

Boston's nice for a day or two at a time, past that I want to be home!

I'm right around $950 for 1500 sq ft, 600 sq ft garage, and 3/4 of an acre. But, as rural areas go western MA is among the higher priced ones.

Ha, I grew up not being able to see any neighbors. I have three I can see now and one I can almost see. But it's better than the neighborhood I was in before where I could see 15+ houses from mine.

Yeah, easily. A girl I work with works out of our NY branch and I think she pays either $1600 or $1800 a month (I don't remember which) for her half of a 900-ish square foot 2 bedroom on the island. Absolute insanity.
