Yup, I know of someone similar--close to $2k for half. They say salaries are higher there, but it's not enough to justify the difference.

 

Yeah, one thing that rural Maine doesn't have a shortage of is land. The GF and I are toying half-seriously with the possibility of buying a 170 acre piece in western Maine that has a current asking price of $99k. And it comes with a camp already in place, with a well and septic.

Growing up you couldn't see any of the neighbors from my parent's house either. Still can't, since they still live in the same house and have all of the same neighbors, lol. I can see two neighbors from my front yard now, and can't say that I'm really a big fan.

 

If you don't buy it, I may come buy it instead

 

It's only about an hour from our house, too, so it'd be perfect for "let's go to camp for the weekend"

Farmington area.

 

Gross. The city's fine for a night out with the wife, otherwise I could care less about it. So much of a pain getting there, parking, etc..

 

Buy it and let your TW brotherton use it when you're not there! Lol

 

If we do end up getting it, the people on here would be more than welcome to borrow it. We just need to decide if we really want to take on what would basically be a second mortgage. We can afford it, and our plan is to eventually move back into the Farmington area, at which point we'd just build a year-round home somewhere on the property. We're just not certain that we want to commit to it right now.

 

I grew up in Somerville, right down the street from the high school, so i'm a city boy, wouldn't go back though, no longer a fan.

Driving home today at 16:15 on Rt 2 East I saw a 2nd gen in either MGM or black with a mesh/satoshi grille going west. Was that any of y'all?

Kinda pissed I bought the wrong size exhaust pipe to fix my girlfriend's car. Cut out the bad section and then found out the pipe I bought was too small about 10 mins before the parts stores close. So I will have to finish it tomorrow

 

I just had a guy offer to trade me a Suzuki RM250 that needed motor work for a set of wheels I have for sale. I politely declined his offer but I absolutely had that moment of "it would be so cool to have a dirt bike" and the. I realized I would die if I got one. I'd literally fall off and break myself in half.

I know there's a bunch of riders on here and figured they'd appreciate my thought process.

I can't say I blame you for declining. You'd probably have to rebuild the top end and it's not road legal regardless. If he offered you a dual sport, that'd be the bike to get. Road worthy dirt bike FTW!
