Are the new ones still a matte coarse finish and the holes are cut awkwardly? Debating on what rack to replace this old one with. Like the first series you made, old.

I think the offset version will suffice for both tall and mid height racks.

We don't have any immediate plans to do anything with Softopper.

I wasn't able to open his part file, so I designed these myself.

I also would want them to sit flush, or as flush as possible. What about making them flush but with spacers if you want them offset?

Ended up re-mounting my tred pros this weekend. Found that using the center holes in the boards it didn't turn out as sturdy as I hoped for. Moving the brackets in a vertical position with a metal backing plate ended up being a more solid configuration. I had to drill a few extra holes in order for this to work. I'm hoping the RTT will fit as long as it opens towards the passenger side. Will post another pic at the end of the month with the results.

Anyone using a rear swing out bumper with the midlevel rack? I'm wondering if the Mt Rainier tent (extends about 8-10 past the bed) will clear the rear tire.

Just want to confirm - the 10" above the bed side rail caps listed on your website for the mid-height rack, is that measured to the bottom edge of the top rack bars when installed? Looking at your rack to hold an RTT, and trying to gauge whether my mountain bike rear wheels will fit under the rack/RTT when hanging over the tailgate!

Also, what's the lead time on a mid-height short bed rack, or do you have any in stock?

10" from the top of the rack to the top of your side rail caps.

Yep, mid height short bed in stock.

Ah ok, thanks for the quick reply!

The top bars look to be around 2ish" in height, so I'm guessing I'd have roughly 8" from the top of the bed rails to the bottom edge of the top bars? If that's the case, then I should have about 27" of clearance from the bottom of the bed to the bottom edge of the top rails.

I may be cutting it close with that height, but I'll take some height measurements this weekend to know what my minimum needs to be.

Thanks again for the quick info!

You'll have about 8.5" of clearance under the top bars.
