    Hi Gang,

I just couldn't stand the pain anymore, so I replaced the front bucket seat on my Taco with a Corbeau seat. Its much more comfortable, but here is the problem.................

I cant move the seat belt latch over to the new Corbeau seat. I am referring to the female end of the buckle. (Some call it the latch.) The Taco seat has a small metal arm that is attached to the seat with a 14mm bolt. On top of that short arm is the buckle/latch. The Corbeau seat has that same metal arm welded to the seat frame. I cant just unbolt the latch part. Its all one piece on the Taco seat. (I hope this is making sense.) Does anyone know of an aftermarket option? I just need the buckle itself to bolt onto the Corbeau welded arm. I will call Corbeau in the morning to see what they say. Many people must have run into this issue. Has anybody here had this issue? Any input is appreciated!

    Thanks All.

If you don't mind me asking, which model of Corbeau seats did you end up buying? I've been looking into a set because I'll be driving across the country in a few weeks, and after the last time I did that I couldn't feel my toes for weeks lol...

Thanks for the link 99. My problem is a bit different. However, my problem is solved. I ordered the buckle from Toyota. They have never heard of a buckle being attached by a rivet, but that is how mine came from the factory. Weird.

Mugen, I bought my seat from 4wheelparts.com. I only bought one seat as I didn't want to spend a grand. I had to buy the bracket from Corbeau. I know I could have spent less going to the junk yard, but I just didn't want to deal with the welding and the possibility that the seat height might be wrong. The Corbeau seat is MUCH more comfortable. (I bought the Sport Seat as it is designed for comfort.) Install was easy. Be careful removing the bolts that secure your stock seat. They have been in there for 13 years and could break. A little PB Blaster might be needed. I think the seat will get even more comfortable as it breaks in. Let me know if you have questions.

    Thanks All.
