Ha! Join the club buddy! I still stand by what Andy and another told me "armor up first" sounds like your on your way. You can look at my meager build and tell I've mainly concentrated on functional mods not much fluffy stuff yet. I will say this- if you have any asperations for lights Caliraised has a good buy rt now on their new side projecting ditch lights. You get the ligts, harness, and brackets for $120. I got the lights and harness, great quality and lights are bright as hell

I've done the Calico Gate Keeper before in my old jeep and was better than any amusement park ride
May have to wait until next year , the move up the hill is going to be $$$$

The Gate Keeper is just off of the main road to Ft Irwin

And you guys are up to around $0.45 more per gallon (or more) than us just across the river. The only stations I see close in price is Ehrenburg and Blythe on either side of the river.

I do not see the fun in risking a 20 plus thousand dollar investment to go play in the rocks. If I wanted to do that I would have a vehicle for that so if it gets destroyed or blows something no big deal I can get to work the next day . I realize it is a challenge to ones self but not one I see the point in but to each their own.

I do not have that kind of money. Besides it a haul to any thing even close to that I will stick with woods roads and such risking 55k which for the record is half the cost of my home.
