I broke the rear windshield wiper off the rear of my Ford Edge yesterday when the snow slid off the roof and down the back windshield.

Must be the Montana in me, hell even the year in Wyo, but i figured that was kinda a common practice to clear the roof lol. Admittedly I have forgotten before but its a rare occurrence.

Besides, it self clears at a stoplight, the hood on a GMC van has a pretty good slope to it so really all that happens is a snow speed bump for the Subaru behind me.

Add me to the list of people using Mobil 1. Seems to be decently priced, available pretty much everywhere (including Walmart), and I don't plan to push it to the mileage limit before changing it each time, so it works for me. :notsure::thumbsup:

    On synthetic oil:
Ran regular GTX with I bought my 1991 then switch to Castrol synthetic for a period and it seemed fine. Honestly in that truck with a 22R-E I found it better to use good regular oil and change often over synthetic left in longer, so switched back to GTX the last couple of year I had it. I put a total of 175K of her 280K so I can't complain.

Switched the Taco to Mobil1 when I bought it at 40K. Outcome to be determined, its got 76K on it now.

I dunno which is the absolute 'best' testing but I went with the brand and type that I can get easily. Amsoil I guess invented synthetic oil and have no doubt it is top rated, but not being able to get it easily at Auto Zone and the price makes it of reduced value to me. I'd rather use Mobil, Valvoline, Castrol, etc. that is 96.412% as good, costs half as much and I can combine with a errand run to the dealer for a filter and a growler fill.

    Misc comments:
BTW, @aero3685 @Star-Lord, are you serious about tool boxes? I'm looking for something in a standard width (26") roll away. PM if you want.

    Brand new elk.

Mom ran across the driveway and it played dead until i drove past. Wish i would've had my telephoto lens to get some pictures after they reunited but didn't want to stick around and stress them out.

Mobil-1 seems popular for the reasons you guys have listed, it's easy to find and doesn't break the bank.

I just shoveled 6" of slush. Pretty sure my heart stopped a few times.

They also usually offer a mail in rebate a couple of times a year to get $12 off of 5 quarts. So you end up paying $15 or so depending on where you buy it. I don't think Walmart is listed but they do honor them from my past experience.
