My 2010 has them, my entire headlight units were replaced under recall and they have been fine since

You talking about the headlight housing recall for the melting DRLs? I also had this done and they haven't melted again, but I switched over to LED blinkers up front just to be safe

Any TW bros know of a way to lock bolt on lights on your truck so they won't get stolen? I got 2 hella 500's to put on my avid bumper guard and I'd rather they stay there

Yeah I was stoked whenever they replaced mine. They were the worst looking part of the truck. Looks like a new truck now!

For my rigid pods I used their security hardware. You can probably get the same types of nuts and bolts from Amazon or something.

    http://www.rigidindustries.com/installation-accessories?f[0]=field_product_application:3431

Edit: just like anything else, it will just slow them down. If they really want them, they'll get them...

Back in the day, it was all the rage to add dtrl's. Mine didn't come equipped with them, but I added them.

Not a bad idea. It's not like he's moving the lights all the time, and it'd take two seconds to grind off a small weld.

I was half kidding about the red loctite btw! Once used, they say it requires a torch to undo the bolt. Only use that if you're damn sure you want it there.

Bunch of hail coming down while I'm sitting in the break room at work. Maybe I can get a new hood with a scoop this time. :spy:

Could get a dash cam too. Won't prevent the theft but will give you a picture to hand over to the police afterwards.

Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
This was going to be my suggestion too ^.

Nothing is going to make them totally secure though. My buddy had his bolts welded in place, but a thief cut the mounts right off to steal his rigid!

I'm going to stick that in the signature just to see how long it holds true.
