I've been thinking of this one. I can set it up in the truck. And if I go kayak fishing I can throw the battery pack and stubby antenna on it and toss it in a waterproof sack just in case.

I keep my glock next to the CB.

 

I never saw the use of a console vault. I have too many hiding places (especially behind the seats). I do leave my phone/gopro batteries charging in the console when I'm away from the truck. But only in non-questionable areas.

For a CB, you have to tune it to transmit. Because if you don't, it'll fuck up your radio. Do it once on the antenna, and then from there you can tweak it from the radio.

 

#3 is one of my biggest pet peeves! SO MANY bogus websites out there and most people these days just believe whatever they say. ALWAYS check on the validity of your sources or I will fucking smite you with my hammer of knowledge, motherfucker.
