Always a parts list. Solid axle, 35's, gears. The transfer case is a start.

Rick @pray4surf did the conversion on his Prerunner, and should have some "hot-skinny" on the subject.

Having been called out by @Drainbung - I don't have any answer on this. My transmission came with the transfer case, out of a V6 4runner...
I only needed to swap bellhousings and re-use the 4cyl torque converter to mate the V6 tranny/xfer case to my 2.7 4cyl. Of course, the electrical connections needed more massaging... The FSM is valuable.

I love my AP standards but they're too soft if you have a weekends worth of camping supplies in the bed. Otherwise they're perfect haha. Dakars are awesome, a set of those with 12" shocks will be my next setup when I get a 4x4.

I guess I should have posted about a parking lot meet instead of actual offroading

another question for ya :) So I've read that you can use the front driveshaft from the pre runner(and i think add a spacer), but you'll need both portions of the rear driveshaft from a 4wd- is that true or did you just get a whole driveshaft from a 4wd?
    thanks!

    Prerunners don't have front driveshafts??

my bad, i worded that all wrong, I meant the front section rear driveshaft, not the front driveshaft its self- Can i use the front half of the 2wd rear driveshaft paired with the rear half of the 4wd driveshaft? yup thats the real question here. ahah sorry its been a long ass week

Actually I think you're right. It would be easier to just do the entire 4wd shaft though

Madison - in my case I picked up a used 'front' driveshaft and had the 'front-portion' of the rear driveshaft altered. Both pieces had to be altered actually. The aft portion of the rear driveshaft was left alone...
