    Some really cool shit

In California I hunt mostly clubs because I live in the SF Bay Area. Difficult to get anywhere in a reasonable amount of time. However, there are wild birds in the Sacramento Valley around Colusa, that have been nice. Additionally, I hunt with my cousin in Kansas.

That's great! I'm only a couple hours away. I try to get up there a few times a year. I'll be there in a couple weeks. The top water action is crazy. The first time I went I didn't know where to cast, fish were rising all over. So much water to fish too.

I keep saying when I make it to the NE on a business trip- I'm going to play hooky one day up there and just fish. Man, I know all kinds of back places in there! There is a place just north of Sleepy Hollow that stocks fish about this time every year, and they go NUTS on topwater. If you aren't in the neighborhood, then you don't know about it, and no one fishes it! There is a big waterfall after that we used to go down and swim at when it got warm, it was a fun place to go and no one knew about it.

Thanks. My mom is an interior decorator so when I'm looking for something specific, she keeps her eye open for stuff like that for me.

I'll have to go explore when I'm up there. I travel a lot for work just not to great fishing locations

Hahahaha. I guess you could say that... I've had that tying bench for a good many years now and it has served me well. Everything packs up inside it- when fur and feathers aren't everywhere from a good night's work...

Thank you! I really appreciate that. It's a wreck right now (from a good night's work) but I need to add the small shelves in the top for airbrush paint, popper heads, ect...

I really appreciate it though, thank you.

To all you TW Fly-fishing thread regulars (you know who you are). I've got these Pike flies that I'll never use. Today's your lucky day as I'm willing to give these away. PM me if you're interested. If I get multiple inquiries, I'll decide who gets them.

    Nada...

Bought them at a local salt-water fly shop. They had a small bass/pike section since the flies are similar.

I like to bass fish at night. I get on the water around 7 it gives me few hours to use the fly rod. Then I fish till 2 or 3 am. Depends on how good the fishing is.
