@BabyTaco & @joshipps what lens are you using with you a6k? I'm making the move to the 6300 soon and thinking of just getting it with the kit 16-50 for a while and getting the 18-105 at some point since i like having 100mm to play with. Any insight you guys have on lenses since you've been using the E-mount for a while? MuchasGarcias in advance

I used the Sony 50mm (1.8, I think) and Sigma 19mm the most. Great buy for portrait and landscape but sounds like you aren't a prime guy. I am picking up a water proof case for mine and retiring it to a field camera. Looking at moving to a different system for wildlife photography. I was on the edge of getting the 18-105 for a long time.

I'm interested in the canon.

I've pretty much just copied Gage and bought the Sigma 19mm f2.8 right off the bat. Picked up the 50mm f1.8 as well and those are all I have currently.

I like the primes for the low f stops, but often wish I had just a basic kit zoom lens for truck outings and piddling around in the mountains. You might consider picking up an adapter if you've got a lens you already like in your Canon arsenal.

A900 is a DSLR. We're fancy and shoot mirrorless

 

The new l5p's are monsters. 445hp & 910 ft/lbs and the comfort of a Cadillac would be a pleasant daily driver.

 

I'll get back to you guys on camera stuff later. Currently balls deep in an alternator swap. F Toyotas location on the 1gr-fe! Bloody nuckles for the win.

 

I am keeping my A6000. Going to use it for fish photos on the job and a backcountry/backpacking set up. The only downside to that camera is the lack of long range lenses so I'll be looking at a older, but still nice canon/Nikon camera body for better wildlife lenses.

I'm think Sony a7sii is what I'd get. Best if. Other worlds. Small light and amazing FF.

I would be inclined to get an a7ii. The a7s has the lowlight and video advantage but overall they come close in specs and quality. The a7ii is quite a bit cheaper too.

Only the A7 models are. The A6 models are still APS-C.

The 6300 is supposed to be a beast though.

Its amazing. Have shit one before. There are videos of it shooting 4k video by pure moonlight at 35,000iso. Looks stellar. Pretty impressive.

The difference is pretty small. I shot photos at 8000-12,000iso inside and it looked better them my 60d haha



Also god damn. The blower with the gears really poo it's the balls back on Frank haha what hoot to drive. Besides the bad alignment.

Wishbone was bringing him to Oregon. Super fun to drive around town. My god my gas mileage is going to be so bad haha hahaha poowwweeeerrrrr!!

 

Fucking pricy. But nice. Can get a kill adapter to run canon glass too that doesn't change the focal length and retains auto focus. But it's pricey too.

 

Yeah, sold it on ebay for the blower.

You won't want it after the Sony. Weighs less. Takes better photos too I think. Haha

 

So was at the ford dealership...they had two there. One marked up to 93k lol I started laughing my ass off. The lower price was 70k. Sticker said "price adj" +25000.

I drove a 2016, but I really want to drive a 2017. I couldn't believe how smooth it was.

So for anyone curious, I saw a 2007 Audi RS4 on my drive today. Obviously I stopped because I about shit myself, like 2nd dream car from audi I could want. Long story short I drove it, it was 130k miles, they want like mid 20s but said they coudl get me in it that day for like 19k, and had some dents and dings and was gneerally not in the greatest of shape so I obviously passed. But god damn did that thing still drive amazing. 10years old and felt as tight and crisp and the power was there.

So i drove to the next lot, used 2016 golf R manual, so again was like screw it. Drove it and they still are amazingl. Pulls strong yet can be civil and was really quiet nice inside and out.

As I leave there to go home I pass a dodge lot, and sitting right in front is a audi S3. Like wtf. So i stop to see what the deal was. had 15k miles adn they want just short of 40k, lady comes out and insists we drive it so who was I to say no. Very nice car, felt similar to the golf R but lacking in there is no manual. Feels very...timid. Obviously if you throw it in sport and downshift it roars to life, but the golf "felt" quicker.

So as I am telling them I enjoy it but just not looking for that right now the lady really starts pushing a hellcat challenger..like really pushing it. They want me to come back tomorrow to test drive a new one. I was like uhh look thats a cool car but not really what I think I want and not really wanting to spend that much but they insist that the manger special one (65k w/ 1000miles) is worth coming to check out. So I guess maybe I will since they insist..probably not tho.


God im a piece of shit at car dealerships lol.
