What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I got 2 and put one in the cab. Thought about using some JD Weld on the threads which would make it pretty solid on there but figure that'd be overkill. We'll see if it stays around for awhile this time!

 

I know the feeling brotha! I wasn't joking around when I said what a difference it made on my truck! Paired with the Deavers out back, it's all together a MASSIVE improvement. Glad you're stoked man! One of these days we gotta grab a beer

That seems like a pretty good idea. Although I wonder how much weight it can hold as apposed to the usefulness of it.
It has a lot of potential those. If only to divid up the bed.

 

Derped the chrome caps but I think I will paint or order oem eventually

 

2000 to 6000 lbs per the manufacturer, I am thinking my bed would collapse.

Here is one with the Toyota rail removed. This is good for 2nd or 3rd gen.

 

That'd be bad ass! I didn't want to spend anymore on the suspension after this but now the rear seems lacking lol

 

Picked up a new toy and washed both girls

Here is my 67, my dad bought for me in 1979 off the original owner. I was 14, no one had ever sat in the back seat up till then, and I have taken good care of it ever since.

 

Finally put the new shoes on. 4Runner TRD Pro wheels and 265/70/R17 BFG KO2s. Discount tire scratched and marred the outer rim of 3 of the wheels. We'll see Monday what they say about that... I'm pissed. Wheels were brand new sealed in Toyota packaging.

 

That sucks!

 

Added a few visor decals and floor mat holders since my kids were driving me nuts by always sliding the passenger and rear mats.

This decal is perfect.


This one was bigger than the OEM warning decal and any part of it touching the fabric curled up overnight. I completely messed it up when I trimmed it. I plan to buy it again and try better trimming.

 

Did a best offer on eBay. From a Toyota dealership in Wisconsin though. Go it in two days and free shipping. Couldn't pass it up.

 

I found that putting a tarp inside big enough to go up the sides before the mulch sure makes it easier. You can even slide it out with most of the mulch still on it if you want to.

 

Installed running boards this morning. After hauling two half-ton loads of gravel, took the Tacoma for a bath and vacuum....

 

I'm looking at some new/upgraded rear bump stops. Wheeler's SuperBumps, or Icon Hydraulics to match my current kit?

Thoughts from the masses?
