131 TSBs Colorado/canyon and 7 TSBs for Tacoma the year 2016, which truck would you buy based on this knowledge? that's my analogy. and based on these facts which will have the best reliability going into the future with either vehicle.

One point author made that I cannot understand and came to the conclusion that he is just throwing crap out and grasping for straws, is he said the styling is "cartoonish".
That's pretty ridiculous as its actually the most badass look out. I'd reserve that comment for the Ridge actually.
Can't see where he gets that at all.

And poor elcapitan hasn't received one like on his initial post.

If using google you search "2017 Tacoma reviews" you'll see most reviewers give the Tacoma at least 4 out of 5 stars every time. Pretty good overall reviews I think.

You can also look at those TSBs from the opposite perspective, maybe GM wants to satisfy customer complaints or concerns rather than telling them the issue is normal and showing them the door.

its means the Colorado/canyon has more issues than the Tacoma has by 131 vs. 7, there is no other way a rational person can see it any other way.

True. Yet what another companies has as far as TSB has nothing to do with the Tacoma. If you want to look at other brands, Nissan frontier has had 0 tsb for the last couple of years. http://www.nissanproblems.com/tsbs/Frontier/

Like I said, the Tacoma is ok. It is just not for everyone.
Some really like the way it drives. Some want to install ShiftSense Pro to improve drivability for them.

In the end when purchasing a vehicle it is a personal choice.

Like I said, you can look at it however you want. A person different from you may see 192 complaints reported (per the site you posted) and only 7 tsb's, indicating toyota doesn't take care of their customers.

A "rational" person doesn't take 1 stat at face value and form their whole opinion off it. It's obvious your opinion is biased (most people on a platform dedicated forum are).

Actually, look at how many guys here go to the dealer with issues only to have them say to them its normal and show them the door leaving them frustrated and they come here bitching, those are problems not showing up on the TSB list.

I would buy a Nissan. It has 0 tsb the last few years
    http://www.nissanproblems.com/tsbs/Frontier/

    oh wait, I did. :D

I liked the 3g Tacoma. Loved my 06. I just could not bring myself to pay the dollars Toyota wanted for the Tacoma. With garage space being critical for me, the 3g also grew a bit too long and wide. Much like the GMC twins. Wish the mid size would have stayed like the 2g in size.

When are more people going to realize many car awards and rankings are complete garbage? There aren't very many awards or auto shows that are unbiased. Clarkson, May, and Hammond are some of the few that give an honest opinion, unfortunately not very often on "normal" cars.

how many guys go to the dealers with issues and are treated and taken care of in a professional manner and are satisfied with the results compared to the frustrated ones? would rather go to the Chevy dealer 131 times and be frustrated or go to the Toyota dealer 7 and be happy. if you are frustrated by the treatment then I suggest try a different dealership or file a complaint about bad service this is what happens in the real non internet world.

Just so you know, tsb's are not recalls. Just because one is issued doesn't mean you have that problem. You are not notified of tsb's like you are recalls. It's to help tech's diagnose a problem and repair it if a truck comes in exhibiting something that matches what is described in a tsb.

Not sure what you are inferring. Because I don't own a tacoma my rational is invalidated?

If I base my opinion off one tacoma owner on a forum, I may be swayed to go GM haha Luckily I really base what I buy on my needs and how the vehicle meets my needs.

I would recommend you get a Honda Ridgeline, rated #1 by all the major car magazines
