EDIT: also make sure to blow the metal shavings away. I didnt, and now have small rust spots

 

Fixed it and I used the @fatfurious2 famous blower to blow it all away.

 

Did you get it figured out? I build them square so in theory they should be plumb and vertical but the plastic beds seem to have some variances... Just thumb it over so it sits plumb and mark your holes

 

Ahhhhhhhhh shit @At The Helm is in the house...finally installing these bitches. My driver side had just a bit of warping passenger side looks good thankfully.

 

I figured it out as best I could. Looks square enough. Driver side was a little more fucked up but I managed. I was lazy and just drilled the last two bolts while the bracket was still on...and then just resprayed it.

 

What are the benefits of these bed supports?

 

Fix the warping flaw in Tacoma s and more anchor points....also help when you go hogging.

 

Prevent bed from splaying outward if you put a canopy / bed rack / RTT on it. Also probably minimizes bed flex if you wheel even without any weight on top.

It's a light duty truck with a light duty bed.

 

I typically run a cap on my truck. Is this something I need? (And by "need" i mean something i may potentially see some sort of improvement from and its another mod) At this rate I'm gonna be living in a cardboard box.

 

I put on Total Chaos bed stiffeners. It was where my CB antenna was mounted to

 

@ready6delta has a cap, and has the stiffeners.
