    Keep the hulls clean and waxed, maintain sails (sails will also stretch and need to be replaced), any wood needs to be maintained and refinished, trailer upkeep.

    Always make sure the sails are dry before storing in the sail bags. Clean it after every use in saltwater and saltwater loves to corrode metal parts. Fix any issues with the hull as soon as possible because water can get in there and delaminate stuff. Really it's just basic boat maintenance, same as any other boat.

    Just do a small sail boat, better to start with learning, less investment and risk. Like a 1-2 person one.

    Hmm debating picking up this cheap bed rack I saw for $286 shipped. I would have to paint it myself but that's friggin cheap. I would get it without the basket shown here because that doubles the price. I would just buy my own basket to attach if needed. Thoughts?
