There's actually no need for an impact beyond R&R of wheels when doing AAL.

You can always get one of those cheap harbor freight electric impacts. Worked good to break em loose.

Get an 18V Dewalt electric impact and toss air hoses in garbage can.

I'd prefer an impact on my u-bolts, personally.

You shouldn't need them. Granted it is obviously easier. But if that's the only thing holding the lift up from getting done, roll Dem sleeves up Susan

Bottom line, just jack up the truck and get started. It won't lift itself. Won't be easy, but it won't be the worst thing you've ever done either. And once it's done you can relax and enjoy the fact you don't have to mess with it any more.

Finally got my cousin's BIL to respond! Got in the garage!
The impact gun made it so much easier. Didn't even scuff a knuckle :D

Factory shock studs snapped off (go figure), so had to monkey, literally, those loose. Monkey wrench on the shock's rod thingy and wrench on the nut itself. Done deal. Easy.
Also found out that the included center studs with the Deaver AAL are finer thread and strip way too easy.
    Leaf spring bolts.jpg

Quick trip to O'Reilly's because Advance is a joke these days, and a couple Grade 8 3/8-16 2.5" bolts and lock nuts fixed them shits right up! Knocked the edges off the heads a little so they would go in their home proper like with the grinder. Install it all back together, knock some length (about 1/4" off the bolts) so bump stops fit again, and.... Wham! Bam! Thank ya ma'am! Easy!

DAMN! After going ham n turkey on my bushes, the trailer is filthy! They were hiding some dirt fo sho! That's another day though...

So, currently sitting at 23.25" in all four corners, center hub to fender. I know the rear will settle a bit, the front will not. And the rear bumper will bring the rear down a touch more too.

I have an antenna mount for free. The "mirror mount" style. Who wants it?

And front factory shock/spring assemblies with 42k miles, no clue on value, but we can go behind the shed and work it out ;)

Are you soliciting dudes with used truck parts again? I'll tell you one more time, it's called "gay for pay," not "gay for parts."
