Anyone else have problems with the WeatherTech deflectors for the rear windows? I was hoping they were the adhesive type, but instead they have these super difficult metal clips to install. Feeling pretty dumb because I've watched the YouTube tutorial a half dozen times and still can't get the fit right. Had to give up because the rain started. Usually a 5 minute install but not this time...

Took "TACOMA" decals off recessed logo on tailgate. Was shiny chrome. After purchase, i matte black plersti-derp'ped it...still too "hey, look at me". The truck is already an attention grabber, without chrome. Took off the attached letters today. Feel like some of the 2017 Tacoma paint jobs are way too "show-ey", too flashy. I bought this truck to do truck stuff, not drive around the city showing off like a poser. (born and raised country). Also took truck thru car wash after plasti dipping front grille a month ago. Was very skeptical if plasti-dip would hold up. 4 coats, and it did !
Next weekend's fix: take the "TACOMA" logo off drivers and passenger side doors, and black out the stock wheels (also too show-ey with the chrome). This is an "Offroad" version. Also realized that driving off road, even in the "sealed" truck bed storage compartment, tools get VERY very dirty when driving off road. Put tools (socket wrench, sockets, socket wrench extender, crescent wrench, adjustable wrench, rubber mallet hammer, adjustable screwdriver, zip ties, extra nuts and bolts) that would fit into a plastic bag, back into storage box. Put ARIZONA plate back on front after installing bull bar (sorry, boys...bull bar is a bro-ette thing (or 80's throwback), apparently) Next purchase: Hi-Lift Jack to keep in truckbed.

Do you have a long bed? The shortbed is just about 1 cubic yard to the top of the rails, so really 1.5 cubic yards is about a max load. Heck, even a full size truck typically doesn't fit 3 yards.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Did my 20k service... fresh 0w-20 Mobil 1, oem filter, and tire rotation. 4th time doing this and is pretty easy. Plus, I get to clean all the brake dust off the insides of the wheels.

where did you get the floor mat holders and were they hard to install? i super glued velcro to the back of mine, but this seems like a better, more long term solution
