The quality of the compressor may be a factor too. The antique ARB on my wheeling rig has been under the hood for ~20 years. Its only problem is the air tank o-ring leaking a little... one day I'll measure it and find a new one.

Bought a new battery for...wait for it, you guessed it, the Tundra.
but the real news is that i took the old battery from the Scout, which was dead, and used it for a core for the Tundra battery and installed the Tundra battery in the Scout, which hasn't been started in over a year.
And it fired right up. Sounded good too. I wanna keep it now.:anonymous:

I'm convinced toyota puts crap batteries in from the factory.

Just had mine quit at less than 5 years. Just changed the oil in the Sienna and noticed that I changed that battery out on 8/11. That means the factory battery was only 3.5 yrs old and current aftermarket is almost 6 and doing fine.

The paint on that Scout is beautiful.

Also love the dash over the tach. Nice touch.

Hey kids, so I'm actually trying to get a 'to do' list of places to see on the journey now that its getting a little closer.

Looking for suggestions on north CO, western half of Wyoming and Montana.

Obvious places are Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier. But I'd like to add neat/historic/photogenic spots to the map so I can roll through and not miss anything that I am driving right by.

Dirt roads and less traveled are better. Slow rock crawling, not high on the list unless its a relatively small area or a great payoff in the end.

Also if you have any awesome camp locations... primitive/free are ideal.

There ain't shit here in the North as far as historically cool. Lots of places to primitive camp though.
San Juans are the scenic part of the state.
