The twins have an 8sp auto - talk about constant shifting LOL. I test drove one and did not like it - my preference. So across the street I went to Honda - UGLY effing minivan truck thingy... Across the street to Toyota. Have 17 TRD Sport 6spd MT and could be happier. No issues at all @ ~7700mi. I guess if I owned a 2010 Taco and lurk in 3rd gen looking for issues - I might hate the 3rd gen too :rofl:

    EDIT: couldn't be happier

Baby duramax does Not have 8spd. I test drove one and it shifts great. Just don't care for interior. Recommend test driving the baby duramax before you lump all the twins drivetrains into same "performance" category.

Smitty - they had a few on the lot, but priced over 40+ thousand - over what I wanted to spend so I did not waste my or the salesman time to beat them up on price, incentives etc... Now the twins vs. the 17 Sport TRD - hands down Toyota in my opinion hence I got one. Of course, I went MT which the twins did not offer in there line up. Overall, you SERIOUSLY need to sell/trade your truck, you hate the thing. If one can afford a 40g truck/vehicle, I imagine one can take a hit of a few thousand to rid a vehicle you obviously loathe the 3rd gen.

The Colorado actually shifts really well when it's working. I barely made it to the dealership this morning, I was getting almost every warning possible on it and it quit on me twice. The guys at the dealership asked if I'd done anything to the electrical parts of the truck because it was giving all types of codes, including no communication, whatever that means. I've owned it two months and have literally never even popped the hood on it. I'm still sitting at the dealership.
But yeah, before this, it shifts perfectly and has quiet a bit more power than my Tacoma. Don't get me wrong I'm still a Tacoma fan based on looks alone but no doubt between these two trucks the chevy is superior in shifting and power.

Did you test drive the Tacoma before you bought it?

The entire purchase decision was made on interior preference?
