Didn't fully inspect yet...front Cross member is slightly tweaked and hood line is 1/4" out of whack...all in all bumper and reinforcements did their job and if there was any less protection the damage would have been much worse.... Cross member would've bent much more

Are you sure they won't fit? If they came off a double cab long bed, they should bolt onto a double cab short bed. If they came off of an access cab (which obviously has a long bed) then no, they won't fit.

nice write up. I did almost the same thing on my 2015. I built a little shelf though.
    20161109_110045.jpg

I built the shelf to be able to mount the chargers a little differently and charge two phones at once side by side. Now I love going to TW meets and the 3rd gen guys say their trucks are better because of a qi charger, power rear window, and tailgate assist. Then I show them all those features and more on my truck and they regret not getting a 2nd gen haha

They seem to be quality. Here is a comparison,

Did exact same thing last month when I changed out the rubber bushings of the Dakar leaf. with poly bushings. Just half a dumb-ass because I replaced the bolt correctly on the PS, but the wrong direction on the DS. I was too lazy to undo the entire thing, so I just cut off the extra length of bolt.

The key is to lift the frame for maximum droop and then the bolt is fully exposed. Then you'll have better access to cut-off the bolt either with a cutting wheel or a sawzall.

Ha, Ha! Yeah, my buddy loves his 3rd Gen, but he's always complaining about the engine performance and the hood visibility.

 Found that I have a leak around coil #2 despite changing the gasket. Well I went from 4 leaking and a bad valve gasket to only one leaking. Now I have to ponder why?

Vinyl would be $250, while a couple of plasti-dip cans are about $12. I will have it wrapped, but first I want to make sure I like the design.

Step bars or sliders will fit either DCSB or an Access cab, they share the same frame from the factory. The DCLB step bars or sliders will only fit a DCLB.

These shocks are also 8 years old. A friend bought them ran them for a few years blew them up got tired of them. And then I got them super cheap. They've become more trouble than they're worth so time to upgrade
