I am considering putting a dock plate on my 2001 6cyl. taco.
I was wondering if anyone who has one could post some of their results from this mod.
    Thanks

Results are typically 5 h.p. and better mpg. Its the best mod for the money you can do to a first gen. :)

I was reading that it was somewhat similar to adding a cold air intake just a lot cheaper? I also read that it produces an increase in throttle response?

Deck plate mod yeilds the same if not better performance than Cold Air intakes. Yes, better throttle response.

    getting there....
i dont have pics yet......but i did mine....super easy and efficient mod!!! here is a write up i found.....its for a 4runner, but the air box is the exact same so it will work for you!!!

    http://www.top4runners.com/ja/perf.html

this one is a bit different....as you really do not need to put a screen in. the important thing is..........when you install the deck plate, use a sensor safesilicone to use betwen the deck plate and air box!! and keep all the plactic shavings outta the air box...clean it out really good when you are done.

also, go here.....google index page.....this is what i found when i typed in "toyota deckplate instructions"

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=toyota+deck+plate+mod+instructions&btnG=Google+Search
