Ok, going off the price list here (which is a little off), MSRP would be about $37,273, and invoice of about $35,025 (including $626 for TDA). DMV and Doc fees of about $520. Tax of about $2,950 @8.75%. Believe that puts you in the neighborhood of about $1k under invoice (or better) by my math.

Wish I had my spreadsheets, but that's how it's working out by my math. I'd hate to say "great deal" until I got in front of my other computer and files, but sounds like great deal, unless I'm missing something in my math.

    I included (invoice) price for:

    Base truck $29,406
    JBL pkg $2,727
    Tow $579
    Tonneau $579
    Matts $139
    Destination $960
    TDA $626
    Toyota Gas fee $9
    Total Invoice $35,205

If you were paying invoice, with tax, DMV, Doc Fees....total out the door would be roughly $38,675. You're paying $37,473 drive off.

Now, I don't know what 4x2's are going for here in SoCal (I was researching and buying TRD OR 4x4), but $1k under invoice is not a bad deal in anyone's book in SoCal I'd think. You're not getting screwed, that's for sure. In Idaho or South Carolina? You could do better I'm sure. In SoCal? Not so much.

Someone correct my math if I'm wrong, but looks like a very good deal to me.

If you like the truck, are you going to pass on it in the hopes of shaving another few hundred off? Personally I wouldn't, not after all the "leg work" to get a below invoice deal. Wouldn't be worth the time to save a little bit more.

Perhaps someone who is more familiar with the pricing guys are getting on 4x2 Sport Packages in SoCal can chime in here?

So being a noob I have a question: On their website they have the MSRP listed as ~32K, but on the photo of the sticker it's at ~29K. In this case does it mean the dealership added stuff that'll increase the MSRP, or is it just a mistake? I've seen this on several dealers websites

Recently with Toyota I've noticed that these dealers will advertise an MSRP without "their" add-ons. These will be on a separate sheet listing what they've added after they took delivery. I got taken for 400 because I didn't notice this sticker which was laying in the back floor & not on the window...... it had tint and nitrogen filled tires. My fault for not paying attention close enough when signing, dealer did nothing for me when I mentioned it after the fact so it was a learning lesson.

However I can't imagine what all they added that would amount to almost 3k like you are suggesting, are you look at the whole sheet? The final msrp on it will be after the port installed options on the bottom right I believe.

Been working on pricing my tacoma for a couple weeks now. Been quoted $35,665 for this truck. http://bit.ly/2qOuUP1

My understanding is that this model is just below the premium tech package. Don't need heated seats, dual climate or JBL audio. Fair price?

I'm paying $35,315 for and OR MT with Premium/Tech. Yours does not look like a great deal, you are right at MSRP. You want to be close to invoice which is $33,435 for that truck. got mine for $100 over invoice.

Got my first Tacoma...actually my first truck yesterday. 2017 TRD Sport double cab 4x4 and fully loaded.

    MSRP $41036

Got them down to $38k which I believe is below invoice. This was a lease and they also pulled some strings to get my money factor down to .0018. Payed acquisition, dealer fee and first month totaling $1500. Monthly payment is $407 including tax. I think I did pretty damn good.

It's a bit of a pita, but build it on TrueCar will give you a bell curve of what others are paying as well as a pretty accurate invoice. If you submit for local inventory you will have your first dealer phone call somewhere between 6.8 seconds and 3 minutes. Most will not have the exact truck you "built", but if you are firm on what you want and get a decent internet sales person they will offer to look around at the port and other dealers and will make you an offer. Most of the quotes I received were less than the dealer's internet "instant" price. Also, check your bank or credit union for a buying service, which likely is a TrueCar quote, the benefit is that you can get a better interest rate. I found my best price on my own, went thru the buying service, had the salesman submit his quote to me again and got .5% lower interest rate. Happy hunting.
