Alabama (and 1 from Florida) headed to Moab, Utah! (May 2017)

The bumper view definitely shows the terrain better, plus my "in a blender" camera work with that GoPro lol.

 

Got an early day at work, so doing some more editing. The next video is finished but processing. I will post a link when I start the upload.

 

Hows the time lapse processing?

 

The time lapse will be the main body of the full length video, with highlights at each obstacle.

Kind of a fast forward through the normal terrain.


I can post the time lapse by itself if you want, but it jumps past all the good stuff.

 

Third highlight video. This is the Poison Spider Mesa. We didn't get any video of me doing the first part, but the rest is great!

I realized while working on this video that I was on a bad line, and that is why I struggled a little on the obstacle.

Poison spider trail was no joke...seriously don't understand why the Golden Crack is all you ever hear about from these two trails when there are way more difficult portions along the way. I mean...we were out there like 13 hours...the crack was like 20 minutes of that lol

 

I hope the full length video will be a good representation of the difficulty to get to Golden Crack.

 

If you're bored, watch some videos from Hell's gate and Hell's revenge. Like escalator for instance. It appears that trail needs to be conquered next.

 

haha I'll check it out, I can't wait till we go back. with better planning I think we can do a lot more.

 

I see we got the "damn long beds" quote in that one. Looked like #shortbed problems to me. Believe me, there are plenty of #longbed problems in there too!

 

I believe your wheelbase did help, but if you noticed, you weren't in the same hole I was trying to climb up in. The line made a difference also.

That was great! Watching the chunks of rock fly off as Brian dragged his bumper across the Golden Crack was hilarious!

 

Great video. I didn't see any of the BFE area, so that was cool. The obstacles actually looked like obstacles in those too.

BFE had some pretty good stuff. I just took an alternate route on the way in and ran into this stuff.

Yeah, but you are putting all those miles going to great off-roading/camping areas from what I see! I know you guys have been down this way at least twice and I have yet to come up your way.
