Depends on the week for me. I am salaried, which they base on 40 hrs. Some weeks I am there for 70+, others are maybe 30.

Any of you guys have time for home projects? Here's a few that I built.

    Fanless HTPC i3
    20121211_212105.jpg
    20121211_212420.jpg

That was fine until the motherboard had a meltdown so I rebuilt it.

    20150828_151418_LLS.jpg
    20150828_150939_LLS.jpg

Along the way I got bored and built this monstrosity named "Aquastein"
    i5

    20140522_215529.jpg
    20140523_173551.jpg

Then I needed a media server for my movie collection so along came "Heisenberg"
AM3 running linux based unRAID. Currently has 14 WD drives of various sizes totaling over 40TB. I have had this running 24/7 since 2011 and only lost 1 drive. I replaced the drive and let parity rebuild it like it was supposed to do and it was like it never happened.

    Heisenberg_002.jpg

Ran out of room and had to add some more slots

My son called me one day and said he bought an i3 processor from eBay and wanted to know how to replace the Celeron in his $299 laptop. I said WHAAAAT . So the next time he came to visit we put this together. i5, GTX 970.

That's all the PC porn I've got.

I usually don't work 60s. I work the 3-4 12s normally but I had a guy out this week and being that work gives me like 8 weeks vacation I figured I owed them a extra day  . I'm paid hourly (Salary + OT)

thats similar to my schedule. I work 12s. One week is 24 hours, and the next week is 60 hours. So I get 80 hours + 4 hours OT.

I made great money when I was on night shift. My company paid me 16% shift differential. But I wanted to have a social life.. mistake that was lol. I miss it now, and cant go back yet.

I just started this new gig and it's pretty sweet so far. I get California pay for living in Texas which is awesome. I get to travel around the country and teach what I love. I leave for about 5 days then come home for a week or two before heading out again but there are also times where I'll teach from home and that counts towards my travel week so I still get off the follow week. Plus the unlimited PTO doesn't hurt either

I do well enough, especially given I'm 25 and work in education which is lower than the private sector to begin with. If I add up the extra hours I figure I average times 1.5, though, that's a really nice number. Not that I'll ever see it!

Anyone else here have/use a Dell Precision T7500 workstation?

I got one for free and just going to mess around with it a bit. I have a spare SSD that I will be installing in it along with a 1TB HDD.

It has a Xeon CPU with 12GB RAM, 1000w PSU and a ATi HD 6950 GPU.

I ordered a 3.5" to 2.5" hard drive adapter that should be here today/tomorrow.

hey guys, do any of yall have an at home cloud server or storage device? THIS is the one im thinking of. we'll be using it to move things from a MacBook, and a Microsoft computer and an android phone onto it for storage. the idea is to be able to go on trips (like out of the country) and still be able to save photos on it just in case our things go missing. any tips? Tricks? should we steer away from Seagate (ive just read not good things) is there another solution that I haven't read about that would be easy to do too?

Just bought the 4tb single drive yesterday. So far it has been very easy to set up and use. Very little to config on it.

WD I guess? is there a way to automatically sync things with it or do you have to manually sync?
