She's on her own weight!!! She is sitting a bit low at 19" to the frame with over 3.5" of shock shaft showing. Gonna bring it up an inch. @1uzrnr laid down a ton of welds today. I can't thank him enough. Still got a long ways to go but this is a huge milestone and I'm pretty excited

Hub to fender is 24". That's like a 3" lift

Aaaaaand, the truck is on jackstands again!
    IMG_1885.jpg
After welding everything on, we assembled the front, flexed it, threw the tires on, and put it on the ground. Now I gotta take everything apart to clean and prep for paint.
Some weld porn. Pretty damn good for my little tweco fabricator 181i  wish I could say these are my welds tho  IMG_1882.jpg
@1uzrnr put down a lot wire yesterday.
    IMG_1883.jpg
How do you weld the back of the shock towers?
    IMG_1865.jpg
Not real pretty, but these are over head. Prolly would have been nice if we rolled the truck over so they could be welded flat

What!?! It better be painted pink, you said it was your favorite color. Who's making the little penis stencil for the purple highlights?

what kind of "trimming" is gonna be needed for the rear tho??

you can be like those people who powdercoat their bulletproof lifts, UCA's, coils, and spindles neon green or pink or any color in general.

The rear is minor. Same as clearancing for 35's.

Yep. Just lots of cutting. I'm gonna try and leave some tabs to attach the fender liners to, and also try and roll the edge to make it stiffer.
Today is cleaning up welds and painting.

Yeah, silver rustoleum hammered finish. Pretty bright and easy to see without being obnoxiously loud like pink or neon green...

    Or orange :anonymous:

If I climb in the slider and rock the truck, the fenders will hit the tire. @polekasta came by and grabbed my 285s and countersteers, so I threw the 37s on to see how they look.
